In the 1970s  Broad haven had UFO sightings and nicknamed the Pembrokeshire Triangle in the manner of the Bermuda Triangle, from a headline in The Sun that said Spaceman Mystery of the Terror Triangle.

On February 5th 1976 a blue cigar shaped spacecraft landed right next to the junior school. A group of 16 children playing ice hockey saw the ship and a red spaceman. The headmaster Mr Swales  asked the children to draw pictures of the ship and spaceman and he was surprised how they all looked the same.    On 18th march February 1979 the same craft was  seen by the dinner ladies and a teacher who all saw a spaceman climbing into the spaceship.
